Abraham Hostels & Tours are a group of fun and friendly hostels that cater to independent travelers looking to explore Israel and experience our beautiful country and the Middle East to the fullest. Our Four hostels are located in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Nazareth and Eilat and we operate tours all around Israel, the West Bank, Egypt and Jordan! To us, a hostel is more than just a place, it’s all about the people.
what the role is
We are looking for a sociable person who is not afraid to get their hands dirty, to join the hostel's management team. The job requires both physical and office work (emails are not a bad word!).The position is full-time, and requires availability on weekends (at least once a month).
What you will be doing
Overall responsibility for the maintenance of the hostel - 6,000 square meters, systems, procurement and ongoing operation
Ongoing and daily management of the maintenance team (approximately 4 employees)
Preparing a daily and weekly work schedule and creating priorities
Inspection, registration and purchase of hostel equipment (excluding food and beverages)
Responsibility for safety and security in the hostel
Responsibility for the hostel’s licensing
Assimilation of work procedures
What you should have
Experience in the field of maintenance in hotels - A must
Management experience - A must
High level Hebrew. Additional languages - an advantage
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to motivate employees and ability to work well in a team
Professionalism, reliability and responsibility
An Israeli citizenship or valid Israeli work visa is required in order to apply for this position!
