Abraham Hostels & Tours are a group of fun, friendly hostels that cater to independent travelers looking to explore Israel and experience our beautiful country, and the Middle East to the fullest. Our Four hostels are located in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Nazareth and Eilat and we operate tours all around Israel, the West Bank, Egypt and Jordan! To us, a hostel is more than just a place, it’s all about the people. Our staff and volunteers work hard to make our hostels a warm and welcoming place for our guests and provide them with the best experience possible.

what the role is
Abraham Hostel Eilat is looking for it’s very first housekeeping manager, to set the high cleaning bar for future generations and maintaining a clean & pleasant hostel environment, so our guests would be happy and calm, feeling at home. It is one of the most challenging, important and central roles in the hostel, and will be part of the hostel's management team.
The job in Full-time, 6 days a week. About once a month you will have a weekend duty which requires to be on call.

What you will be doing

Responsibility for level and quality of cleanliness in the hostel - both in rooms and social spaces
Recruiting, training and managing the housekeeping team (about 15 employees), including scheduling, team meetings and prioritizing
Setting and maintaining the cleaning standard for all of the hostel's spaces
Inspection and quality assurance of all rooms, warehouses and public spaces in the hostel
In charge of the cleaning supplies inventory - managing budget and stock

What you should have

Must have management experience
Experience in housekeeping - advantage
English speaker. Other languages - advantage
Great people skills and ability to work in a team
Ability to motivate employees, And setting and implementing work protocols
Professional, authoritative, reliable and responsible
Prioritizing mastermind, especially in a changing environment

The job is full time and includes an initial training period in our hostels in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
An Israeli citizenship or valid Israeli work visa is required in order to apply for this position!
