Abraham Hostels is opening a brand new hostel in Eilat! Abraham Hostels & Tours are a group of fun, friendly hostels that cater to independent travelers looking to explore Israel and experience our beautiful country, and the Middle East to the fullest. Our Four hostels are located in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Nazareth and Eilat and we operate tours all around Israel, the West Bank, Egypt and Jordan! To us, a hostel is more than just a place, it’s all about the people. Our staff and volunteers work hard to make our hostels a warm and welcoming place for our guests and provide them with the best experience possible.
What the role is
We are looking for a friendly person that will not be afraid of physical work to taint their shirt with paint, to be a part of the leading team of the hostel! The job requires both physical and office work (Hey there, sweet emails!). Responsibility for the maintenance of the entire hostel structure (7000 square meters), including the different systems in use (electricity, water, AC, etc.).
What you will be doing
Day to day maintenance of the entire hostel structure, including rooms and public spaces
Operation of the hostel structure and its different systems
Acquisitions and responsibility for dealing with suppliers
Training and management of maintenance team (2-4 staff members)
Performing maintenance tasks independently when needed
Setting tasks for the maintenance team
What you should have
Experience in maintenance - A must!
Experience in management - advantage
Certified electrician - advantage
Proficient use of Hebrew and English, other languages - advantage
Good with a tool box and can set a Personal example
Organized, responsible, professional

The job is full time (6 days per week), and requires availability on weekends as stand-by manager (at least once a month). Starting date as soon as possible. There will be an initial training period (1-2 months) taking place in our hostels in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. An Israeli citizenship or valid Israeli work visa is required in order to apply for this position!
