Abraham is looking for great managers and even more excellent people for an exciting and pioneering position - managing and opening Abraham Hostel Eilat!!
We are a growing tourism network that hosts independent tourists, groups and families, while keeping a young and international atmosphere and mindset. The group consists of hostels in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Nazareth, as well as a travel company and two bars which host events and provide services both to guests and outside visitors.
We are looking for the first General Manager to establish our new hostel in Eilat - for a crazy, engaging and challenging role.
The position is for 3 years (at least) and is part of Abraham's senior management.
The GM will report to the group's VP Operations. We would be happy for candidates from Eilat and / or candidates who want to relocate to Eilat for this position (we will help!).
Establishment of a large hostel (of about 90 rooms), including hiring managers and employees according to Abraham's standards and spirit.
Responsibility and business authority for the entire hostel, including income, expenses, profit and loss, ongoing control and monitoring of the business side. In addition, assistance in preparing the annual budget and meeting its objectives.
Managing staff (about 60 people), including 5 middle managers, hiring and managing employees and training them.
Overall responsibility for the excellent service and experience provided to the guests of the hostel, bar and events, and meeting the high goals of the Abraham experience.
Responsibility for ongoing operations in all areas - accommodation, bar, kitchen, building maintenance, business license, quality control, collaborations with external parties, work with subcontractors.
Working in coordination with the group management, other hostels and Abraham headquarters (marketing, finance, HR , Abraham Tours, etc.).
Creating collaborations with the local community.
Previous management experience (including employee management) - A must! Also, experience in managing and accountability for large budget cycles.
Ability to lead teams and long-term processes, flexible thinking and high performance under pressure.
English and Hebrew at a very high level.
Ability to use complex technology systems.
Highest service consciousness and desire to work with tourists and provide them with an exceptional experience.
Very high responsibility and work ethic, willingness to work hard, including weekends and holidays, especially during the establishment and execution of the hostel.
Work experience in tourism - an advantage.
Residence in Eilat and the surrounding area or readiness to relocate for the position.
